67th Anniversary of the Start of the Korean War
Around 6000 New Zealanders served in Korea between 1950 and 1957. During these years a total of 45 New Zealand servicemen lost their lives.
An Armistice signed on 27 July 1953 finally ended the fighting in Korea, however, a reduced New Zealand force continued to serve in a garrison role until 1957.
